Boasting 3900sqm of new warehouse space, the extension to the existing CARZ4U car yard in Welshpool is now complete and offers the public a spacious showroom to hunt for their new used car.
As the Construction Cost Consultants on the project, Rawlinsons were engaged to provide a pre tender estimate and tender analysis report, as well as post contact administration.
Along with demolition works, the scope included the erection of combined tilt up concrete and Trimdeck Colorbond steel walls with Trimdeck Colorbond roof. Landscaping was upgraded, as well as the existing car park and crossover along Welshpool Road.

The successful Contractor, Auspan, completed the project in 8 months, despite the bulk of the construction work being executed during winter and allowances required for the adjoining buildings to remain operational during business hours. The cash flow was well monitored with some minimal variations, mainly due to the unanticipated upgrade to the fire services, not accounted for during tender.
Thanks to a solid and cordial relationship with all parties involved, the project was well administered and a great success.
