Advocating for Sustainable Building Design

As Quantity Surveyors and experts in construction costs, Rawlinsons (W.A.) are passionate about advocating for environmentally sustainable construction, whilst ensuring our clients financial interests are protected, so they receive the best value for money from the design, construction and operation of their asset.

We recognise that the construction industry is only just beginning to realise the potential of sustainable design and we have joined the Green Building Council Australia as to further educate our team in how to actively incorporate the latest environmentally sustainable innovation into our projects.

Our vision is to lead the way in sustainable building awareness in the Construction Cost Management industry. By learning and accrediting our team through GBCA courses, we will be able to analyse building designs in the early stages and estimate realistic costs associated with sustainable initiatives. In our industry, we notice that ESD initiatives are often over-estimated and the projects, in turn, suffer due to scope reductions to fit the project budget. Rawlinsons (W.A)’s continued education and guidance will help ensure that this is avoided and the client always achieves its goals and fulfils its potential.

Rawlinsons (W.A.) are delighted to see that so many private developers and state and local governments are embracing the challenges of balancing new construction technology with the impacts any such works will have on the environment. We look forward to working with GBCA and industry professionals in achieving our common goal of a sustainable building industry.
